I downloaded Mr. Mao's speeches collection. I browsed them briefly, and found that his concerns covering a great deal on many respects of the socialist China, and covering a long timeline. Too ambitious in his age I guess! But at least Mr. Mao gave Chinese another view.展开全文
回复@海棠星人: China does not need another Chairman Mao or any other leaders of that sort. Institutionalization of democracy is a long way but a sure way - a sure way to name China as the "people's China." Mr. Mao's speech did touch this part.展开全文
At least I can see freedom of speech is on its marching in this "weobo." But how do Chinese people use this freedom is a question. I can see much of dogmatism flowing around right now in this "weibo." There are full of scornfulness, and irrationality toward individual posters.展开全文
Right now what we see is that Chinese nationalism vs. USA' imperialism. Such ideology should be changed. Hegel's dialectic methodology should have taught Chinese something! Something synthesizes Chinese nationalism with USA' imperialism.展开全文

Mr. Mao's criticism might be fall short to be one-sided. Chairman Deng Xiaoping may have envisioned what would happen today - exploitation and inequality, but he had no choice to make the decision to turn Right progressively to avoid China facing bankruptcy as a whole.展开全文

Mr. Mao's criticism actually can be viewed as a criticism of capitalism NOT on his country per se. I would like to ask Mr. Mao: if exploitation on workers is the current situation, what would be the solution? Back to socialist communism is the solution?展开全文
