Part of the fun from the trip to California. I brought back several beers that are not available in Chicago. The prices were astonishingly low, every beer except the one in the box was less than $7, two of the beers were only $5 USD. The competition among breweries is fierce.展开全文
I felt the judging format for the homebrews last weekend was really well done. Jake does a pretty good job of bringing western standards and methods to the homebrewing community in China. Its not easy, and both him and Yin Hai give a lot of free time to the rest of us.展开全文
Great Leap Pale Ale No. 6, 5.5% ABV, firm well developed 1.5 finger head, good retention, amber color, floral nose with hints of pine, toffee taste without a strong hops flavor, less bitter which allows the malt taste to be more forward. Slightly dry with a clean, crisp finish.展开全文
I just talked to a friend in Chicago and Brewery Huyghe is planning on releasing a new beer in Chicago. This new beer is La Guillotine, an 8.5% ABV Belgian golden ale. Their first release for us in over 10 years.展开全文 原微博
