Autumn has arrived here in the heartland of the USA. Now is the perfect time to go hiking. The air is crisp and fresh, and the sky so blue. This is the view I had yesterday, when I and and my wife Darci hiked to the top of one of the hills near our home. Georgeous!!@AQUATWO展开全文
This morning the CCTV film crew shot a scene of me giving my book WORLDWALKER as a gift to some ladies that have assisted us in Li Jiang. I gave them the English version of the book, but I let them know that it will be published in Chinese in a couple months.@AQUATWO展开全文
Today I was chosen to be the Honorary Chairman of the John P. Parker Historical Society's annual fundraiser. It is a great honor for me because John P. Parker helped more than 1,000 slaves escape to freedom in the 1800s. Here I am with the Parker Society's directors.@AQUATWO展开全文
The anti-slavery movement that led to the American Civil War started in a little riverside village four kilometers from Worldwalker Hill. The village's name is Ripley. Like Worldwalker Hill, the village is quiet and has a lot of grace and flowers and shade trees.@AQUATWO展开全文
Every day the wildflowers multiply by tens of thousands here on Worldwalker Hill. There must be millions by now. Below is a photo of the most common at this time. It is called "Dutchman Breeches," because the flower looks like the short pants the Dutch used to wear.@AQUATWO展开全文
Our black cat "Lizzy" would be right at home in China. Her long white whiskers make her look like she has a Fu Manchu mustache. Here she seems to be giving our other cats the "evil eye." I think she is telling them that she is not going to share any of the fish with them.展开全文
While eating dinner, I saw 5 wild deer 10 meters from the front door of our house here on Worldwalker Hill. I took this photo from our kitchen window. It is almost dark outside, but the five does are clearly visible. Sometimes more than 20 deer come up to our house.@AQUATWO展开全文
